    (End:) The same day (videlicet 1 November 1682) his majesty's gift in favour of James Gordoun, writer in Edinburgh, to be ane ordinary maisser of Session in place of the deceast John Wauchop, was produced, having date at Windsor 12 July 1682 - gift being read and the said James having taken the test and other oaths, he was received and admitted to the said office
